Winter Wanderland

Craig, neither would I except in the [relatively] cool, dry months.

A few years ago I made plans to visit a friend then living in Savannah, GA. He warned me: "Don't come here after April or before mid-October".

Woot! Woot!

High today in central NC was 29 deg F, overcast all day, snow showers started around 4:30 pm, still snowing lightly. Couple of inches expected, low in the morning 20, Sunday morning 17. This is about as cold and snowy as it gets at 315' above sea level and 35.78 deg North.

We have a house not too far from Foy.
Here is a dramatic picture of all the snow we received and our granddaughters opinion of it (her first time)…

Seems a little weird that my home at the edge of the Oregon High Desert -- at 44°N latitude and 3600 feet elevation -- has a similar forecast to where I'm staying with friends in the Carolina Low Country -- at 33°N latitude and 100 feet elevation.

In fact, it's forecast to be a bit warmer in Bend than in Summerville.

You feel your pain, Steve. Hope you are holding up out there!

Because of the slope and contour of the property, I think it does a remarkable job. Reliable, easy to start. I just wish the handles were taller.
