Screen door is on my list.Sliding front window might be useful if your truck as a sliding window as well.Actually thought about deleting the window all together, it will serve no purpose for me that I can think of, but it more than likely will interfere with one of my ideas I had about a...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Truckfridge installed

Fridge looks very nice. How is your venting system set up. I have mine with a bottom 40 sq.in vent /30 min recommended, pulling the cold air to the back pushing the air past the condenser at back and pushes the heat out the top vent. This supports the natural convection of heat from cold (bottom)...

I really need to try opening some of your roofs. Even before I put the struts on I never thought it was back straining to open mine. I wonder if the new ones are heavier. I am hoping that it is an acquired knack ,the only experience I have is the video .It seems to be the push out at the front...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Installing a shell

What would be involved in a basic hawk shell installed on a F150. I thought the campers came with factory eye bolts bolted through the floor, drill four holes drop camper in ,bolt her in and the camper wiring would attach to my existing 7 wire factory plug on the bumper . What am I missing...

Looks very nice ,very efficient and user friendly. Is the bed bigger than usual or do the lift assist normally sit inside the bed. That is the first clear picture that I have seen of the lift assist with the bed pulled out.Was hoping they would sit on the very outside edge of the bed.

I have read the how to install and the description of roof assist .Still not clear to me. When I watch the video on raising the roof it seems that the demonstrator is not struggling and it is a simple thing to do. Have the roofs become heavier over the years ? Is it more peoples are carrying...

More complications. Today I noticed the following "The Ford F150 has the deepest bed in the industry at 23 inches. Speaking as someone who likes to read in bed, would I like more room? Sure. Is it a bit cramped for reading? Yes. Is it a deal breaker? No. A camper isn't like living at home, you make the best of it. Is getting up at 2am to pee and looking up at the stars and forgetting why you got up part of...

Thanks for the input all. Looking around more, I have found a lot of variance in cab over head room from all types of camper type . Some BIG TC had as much as 4 feet .Most class C are around 30 inch. One TC pop up had a wee 23 inch. So I guess FWC is walking the middle of the pack at 27/28...

I am now looking into something more comfortable than a pillow e.g. Therma-a-rest Trecker Lounge Chair or the Travelchair Paddler chair. If you tilt these back you get a more comfortable position, better back support and maybe less headroom needed. Check out the overhead light before you spend...
