That opening is substantial look for some camper frame members in the interior which have come apart....the welded aluminum frame wasn't designed to resist the torque developed by moving the camper....so there are other parts coming apart as well. most likely those other parts started some...

That's a sizable separation in the aluminum door frame....are there welds which were broken or was it caulked? I'd be looking for other areas which have loosened or released to separate that jamb...older alaskand have separate thresholds which move independently of the jamb side....it's pretty...

Sooooo....I was having an issue with the front guides on my new 73' CO....cleaned them up with gunk spray, long wood q tips and a final of lacquer thinner on paper towels in the grooves....fronts only, since they were dragging.. after the guides were as clean as I could see...and the paper...

check your corners for obstructions...it's not uncommon for the top half to hang up on the corners....especially on the older first run cab overs. They had the guides on the front of the lower section allowing the upper frame to splay out a bit and drag against the guides. Alaskan moved the...
