RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West GVWR and Borders

Has anyone taken their FWC across the Canadian border and back through again? Are there issues if you are a little over GVWR with border crossings?

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Replacing vent with Fantastic Fan

It is only this straight forward if your old vent was the same size. My old vent was 7.5" square, with superficial braces welded into the frame.... had to cut that all out (2001 Eagle)

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Any Fuses Blown?

Blew a water pump fuse. If it happens replace it and don't worry unless it keeps happening. Sometimes you just pull enough energy as a fluke due to a capacitor in a ballast or this or that or the other. It happens even when everything is OK.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Raising the camper

I would rather make it the right height with the least amount of weight possible, stacking even 1 extra layer of plywood adds a lot of weight

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Kirkhams... anyone?

Anyone use these awnings? Their tents are good and this seems like a cheaper alternative to the ARB stuff, lighter as well. http://www.kirkhams.com/shelters-shades/kirkhams-auto-canopy/

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West table options for eagle with couch

I'm looking for solutions for fabbing up a table that is super light but can support workstation laptop or a fly vice at times. If I can just buy something that will fit, fold up, slide out, etc I will. Otherwise I am looking at making something. Can the community help me brainstorm? I'll add a...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West The search....

The search function on this site seems extremey limited by character restrictions. Is there any harm in removing them so we can search for 3 letter words like fwc, atc, gas, top, etc?

That sounds like good charging amps for a deep cycle to me but I use a charger as my camper has no inverter

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Is butyl tape enough?

So my first fantastic vent I ordered through Amazon seemed to have been previously returned and the thing would only open manually. I missed my window to install the unit with temps closer to 70 and since I have a hole in my roof with a tarp over it... I gotta do something. Dicor needs 70...

Proud, new to me FWC Eagle owner. Bought this 2001 locally and installation was easy as pie! This 22re truck was already a dog but it always gets you there. I am surprised by how much storage space is inside compared to my carpet kit and camper shell. The factory dry weight in the booklet for...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 2001 eagle vent dimensions

So it looks like the vent on my 2001 eagle is much smaller that a fantastic fan coming in closer to 9" than 14". Does anyone know if the 2001 eagle roof framing is spaced enough to receive a fantastic? I measure really close to 14" and it seems, just by feeling around, that there are horizontal...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Work trade for truck repair help?

I bet your on the way to having a super reliable rig there Yeags! I have a tendancy to fix everything then sell my vehicles, don't do that! Almost pulled the trigger on a 24valve 99 6spd with 250k here... Decided regardless of how long am engine can last, everything else remains equal to gassers.

Wow those rental rates are motivation to buy for sure. Good to know about though! My mom plans to move to Manteo in her retirement coming up pretty soon. I have spent a lot of time in NC's coast, growing up in the Piedmont myself.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Durango Area?

Hello, new to the forum here and still researching. Looking at trying to narrow down a decent 3/4 ton with a larger cab and 6 - 6.5' bed for a used FWC or ATC. I am however, still debating on the bed size and whether or not to get an ATC or FWC, it will largely depend on what comes up used but...
