We've had rain off and on for several days now - even some nocturnal showers. I was sleeping in the camper that night because the power was off and it was too hot in my bedroom. (the utility company has brought in generators since there were so many miles of line burned in the Tamarack fire we are on a limited supply - like Smoke Creek was saying about his area due to the Dixie fire)
It rained earlier this afternoon. It is still cloudy.
So I've spent this summer day first working on my compost piles then canning dill pickle relish and putting cabbage in one and cucumbers in the other fermentation crock. Then I napped through the thunderstorms. I'll begin my next batch of bread tomorrow. Sourdough is a two day process.
And a pretty good aftershock this morning. But the clearest skies I have seen in a couple of weeks.
